Muhammad Dhafi Iskandar, SE., M.Sc., DBA, a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Esa Unggul University, represented Indonesia at the international conference “Law and Business in the Technology and Digital World” held at Youngsan University, Busan, South Korea. His participation marked part of a broader effort to strengthen global academic networks and share Indonesia’s perspectives on legal and business challenges in the digital age.

The conference, which took place on April 15, 2025, brought together academics and professionals from various countries to discuss the evolving challenges and opportunities in law and sustainable business in the context of rapid digital transformation. The event was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Bu Goo-Wook, President of Youngsan University, who underscored the importance of legal innovation and cross-cultural collaboration in navigating the global digital shift.

Distinguished speakers included Prof. Park, Jihyun, who explored the role of soft law and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles in shaping environmental regulations, and Prof. Bang, Joon-Sik, who presented an in-depth analysis of the implementation of Korea’s Serious Disaster Punishment Act as a legal instrument to improve workplace safety. The conference also featured a comparative presentation on the regulation of e-evidence in civil procedure law between Indonesia and South Korea by Maghriby Soka.

Esa Unggul University’s participation in this international forum served as a strategic opportunity to foster cross-border research collaboration and knowledge exchange, while also reflecting the university’s commitment to actively engage in global academic forums and contribute meaningfully to the development of legal and business scholarship in the digital era.
