On Monday, April 14, 2025, Universitas Esa Unggul (UEU) warmly welcomed a special visit from Arizona State University (ASU), United States. This visit marked another important step in strengthening academic collaboration, particularly in the fields of engineering education, research, and future technology.

The day’s agenda began with a Collaboration Meeting between representatives from Universitas Esa Unggul and Prof. Patrick “Pat” Phelan, Associate Dean for Engineering Graduate Programs at Arizona State University. During the meeting, both institutions explored various strategic partnership opportunities, including the development of joint programs and collaborative research initiatives..

Following the meeting, the event continued with a Talk Session titled “The Future of AI and Engineering.” In his presentation, Prof. Phelan discussed how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are beginning to revolutionize various engineering disciplines—extending far beyond the realm of computer science. He also shared valuable insights into future technological developments, cutting-edge research in AI/ML, and educational opportunities available for international students at Arizona States University.

This inspiring session provided Universitas Esa Unggul students with a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities emerging in the age of intelligent technology.
