The visit began with the launch of a mobility program at Universidade Oriental Timor Lorosa’e (UNITAL), which included a public lecture featuring speakers from the Ministry of Health and the National Stunting Prevention Agency (UNMICS) of Timor-Leste. A cooperation agreement was also signed, focusing on the Nutrition Study Program.

UEU explored the potential opening of a special class for the Master’s Program in Hospital Administration (MARS) tailored for healthcare professionals in Timor-Leste. This proposal was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Timor-Leste, highlighting the country’s commitment to advancing healthcare education.

In addition to academic collaboration, UEU also conducted an international student recruitment drive, which included document verification and final interviews for scholarship applicants.

The visit continued in Oecusse with the opening ceremony of the Cross-Border Community Service Program (KKN Cross Border) between Indonesia and Timor-Leste. The event was attended by representatives from both governments and academic institutions, underscoring the spirit of regional cooperation.

This initiative reflects UEU’s strong commitment to supporting human capital development in Timor-Leste through education, healthcare, and community engagement.
