Universitas Esa Unggul (UEU) successfully hosted a delegation from the School of Law, Walailak University, Thailand, in a Collaborative Academic Meeting held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. The event marked a significant step forward in strengthening the academic partnership between the two institutions.

This visit aims to follow up on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) previously signed by both universities, reaffirming their shared commitment to fostering international collaboration in legal education and research. Representing UEU were the Vice Rector and faculty members from the Faculty of Law, who engaged in active discussions with the Thai delegation on various collaborative opportunities.

The Walailak University delegation was led by Associate Professor Nares Kesaprakorn, Dean of the School of Law. Other members included Ajarn Yosita Saikhwan, Esq., LL.M. (Head of the Law Program), Assistant Professor Siwarut Laikram (Head of the Research Institution), Ajarn Kanokphol Nikornpest, Esq., LL.M. (Assistant to the Dean for Foreign Affairs), Ajarn Nodtapol Buangern, Esq., LL.M. (Assistant to the Dean for Student Academic Development), and Assistant Professor Dr. Wachiraporn Poungchinda (Assistant to the Dean for College of Graduate Studies).

The meeting explored a range of initiatives, including student and faculty exchange programs, joint research collaborations, and the co-hosting of international seminars and guest lectures. These discussions reflect the mutual goal of both institutions to enhance global engagement and promote a dynamic legal education environment.

This collaboration is part of Universitas Esa Unggul’s ongoing efforts to expand its international academic network and offer broader global learning opportunities to its academic community.
